“We exist to glorify God by loving Him and making disciples of Jesus Christ across the street and around the world.“

*Disciple – is a worshipper of Jesus who treasures Christ above all things and whose primarily goal is to know Him more and make Him known.

“By God’s grace, we seek to be a community of young adults who model Biblical Christianity, showing ourselves and example to those who believe (1 Tim 4:12), challenging, encouraging, and leading the Bride of Christ.”

*Short Term Vision (Yr: 20/21): “We are prayerfully asking God to double the number of disciple makers in NXT-YA this coming year.”

**Disciple Maker – a person who is consistently evangelizing and raising up other believers (could be leaders within the ministry or NXT-YA members who are discipling outside)

Send - We go in faith, on mission, for glory of One and the joy of all peoples.

Equip - We pursue growth in the marks of a disciple of Jesus: worshiper, prayer, learner, sharer, multiplier, giver.

Stir - We endeavor to stir our hearts for what stirs God’s heart through the opening of the scriptures, fellowship, breaking of bread, prayer, and outreach.

Reach – We seek to engage the least and the lost, both those currently outside the fold of God and current believers in need of a church family.

Prayer – Humble saints depending on the all-sufficient Savior (2 Cor 9:8).

Worship – Fervent worshipers adoring the infinitely worthy God (Phil 3:8; Rev 7:9,12).

Scripture – Insatiable learners drinking deeply from the well of the Word (Acts 17:11).

Evangelism – Compassionate vessels carrying the treasure to a dying world (2 Cor 4:7).

Fellowship – Communal people spurring one another on to love (Heb 10:23-25).

Generosity – Joy-driven warriors giving of their time, talents, and treasures (Ps 100:2).

social justice

1. Racism – racism is hatred that stems from sin and a hardened heart. We want to be a ministry that speaks out against racism. We want to be a ministry that fights racism with the Gospel. In scripture we know there is only one person that can change a heart from stone and his name is Jesus.

We believe there are 3 unique fights that we need to engage as followers of Christ.

2. Prejudice – This is a preconceived judgement about another person or group of people usually different from oneself, due to a lack of life experience or an abundance of a negative life experience.  The primary way we fight prejudice is to give people positive experiences with people that have different racial or socio-economic backgrounds. We see this clearly play out in John 4 where Jesus chose to walk through Samaria instead of walking around Samaria. As Jesus sits with the woman at the well in the middle day he is not only breaking down walls of prejudice, but he is also providing for his disciples an experience different from what they had been told to believe.

Ezekiel 11:9 – “And I will give them one heart, and a new spirit I will put within them, I will remove the heart of stone from their flesh and give them a heart of flesh.

3. Injustice – Is a sin that is demonstrated through policy in order for the policymakers to maintain authority and power over their subjects.
